House Ag Committee Launches Farm Bill Hearings

With the Senate Ag Committee slated to begin marking up its bill next week, the House Ag Committee will launch a new round of hearings at the same time.  We understand negotiations for the Senate bill started with the package submitted to the Super Committee.  The final bill will certainly not mirror that proposal, but will include cuts to several familiar programs including direct payments and the conservation reserve program.  CMC will follow and report on these hearings, but you can follow them as well via webcast.  The webcast link is available the day of the hearing.   The full schedule:
